Minecraft: A game for everyone

Some like to say that Minecraft is just a game for kids, but it's so much more than that. Minecraft is a great creative outlet for all ages. A game where you can create, survive, or just go on adventures. You can play it as is, or play with mods that the community have created! The game was created by Notch, Who also made Mojang Studios. Mojang would then be bought by Microsoft.

So many brilliant creations have been made using this game, such as building a to scale replica of Disney world and Disney land with working rides, sounds, and special effects. Minecraft Education Edition is another wonderful edition to the game, a version of the game that helps teach students in a fun and creative way!

Another edition Minecraft has is Pocket Edition or also known as Bedrock Edition. Pocket Edition/Bedrock Edition are for mobile ports and consoles such as the Nintendo Switch or Xbox. While computers mainly run the Java edition, Mojang has made it so that you can get the Bedrock Edition on pc.

Minecraft has managed to grow to be such a large community, whether you play the game, or enjoy content creators who play the game. There are plenty of multiplayer server series for everyone to enjoy, whether it's Hermitcraft, DreamSMP, or EmpiresSMP. Anyone can start their own SMP, you don't have to be a content creator. just get a small group of friends, and start a server together.

When it comes to gameplay, it's easy. start off with nothing but the clothes on your back. Punch a few trees, get wooden tools, find food by killing a few pigs, cows, or sheep, or even wander around until you find a village. Upgrade those tools, start your base, and soon you are on your way to finding diamonds and fighting the enderdragon.

Not a fan of playing that way? thats fine! you have plenty to do. that village you came across? Transform it into a massive kingdom. Found some redstone? Make an awesome automatic door for your secret base. The things you can make are endless. The only thing thats stopping you, is your imagination.

Want more of a challenge? Try hardcore mode. Though hardcore mode is currently only on java edition. Hardcore mode has you survive on the hardest difficulty and once you die, you can not respawn in that world.

A way that the community has come together is during MCC or Minecraft Championship. Roughly once a month or so, big creators come together to play in minigames in teams of four. MCC even did a pride charity event, raising $300,000 to the Trever Project.

The game and the content creators are so well beloved. the community came together when Technoblade from the DreamSMP passed away, gaining even the attention of the mojang staff. Mojang even put a crown on the pig from the starting screen, in honor of Techno. And more recently, another community came together to mourn the loss of TinFoilChef, also known as TFC from the Hermitcraft server. They will be loved and missed dearly. Rest in peace both of you.

So is the game for everyone? Yes! I would agree that Minecraft is for everyone to play and enjoy.
